- ¼ cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 ½ pounds boneless pork loin roast
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine hot water and sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add red wine vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and hot pepper sauce.
- Layer the Ingredients: Place sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the pork loin roast on top of the onions.
- Pour the Sauce: Evenly pour the prepared sauce over the pork and onions.
- Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low. Let it cook for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and juicy.
