- Creamy Vanilla Frosting:
- 3 cups confectioners sugar (Note 4)
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (Note 4)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (Note 3)
- Edible Blood:
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring (Note 4)
- 2 teaspoons chocolate sauce (Note 4)
- Edible Fingers:
- 3 boxes Wilton decorative fingers
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare a muffin pan with liners.
- Mix the white cake mix with buttermilk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Bake according to the package directions.
- Let cupcakes cool while preparing the frosting.
- For the frosting, beat confectioners sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- To make the edible blood, mix confectioners sugar, water, red food coloring, and chocolate sauce until combined.
- Frost the cupcakes, drizzle with edible blood, and place the Wilton decorative fingers on top.
