Description

Juicy chicken simmered in a buttery garlic sauce, inspired by Texas Roadhouse flavors. A quick, comforting skillet dinner everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and thyme if using.

  2. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and foamy.

  3. Add chicken to the skillet and sear 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.

  4. Reduce heat to medium, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping browned bits from the pan. Simmer 8–10 minutes until chicken is cooked through.

  6. Stir in remaining 2 tablespoons butter to create a silky sauce.

  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the buttery sauce. Leftovers keep in the fridge for 3 days and can be reheated gently on the stovetop.
