Description
Make Texas Roadhouse-Style Baked Salmon at home with bold spices and lemon. A healthy, easy, and flavorful dinner ready in minutes.
Ingredients
-
2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp dried oregano
-
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Juice of 1 lemon
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
-
Lemon slices (for serving)
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
Prep the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel to ensure the seasoning sticks well.
-
Make the Seasoning Mix:
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
-
Season the Salmon:
Rub both sides of the salmon fillets with olive oil. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture generously over the top and sides of each fillet.
-
Bake the Salmon:
Place seasoned salmon on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
-
Add Lemon and Garnish:
Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices.
Notes
Choose skin-on fillets for added flavor and moisture retention.
Adjust cayenne to your preferred spice level.
Salmon is done when it flakes easily but still appears moist inside — avoid overbaking.
This recipe works well with other fish like trout or cod.
