Description

A decadent sandwich stacked with three melty cheeses, crispy bacon, and buttery golden bread. Perfect for comfort food cravings or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices sourdough or brioche bread

  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

  • Optional: caramelized onions, pickles, or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels.

  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place half the slices butter-side down on a cutting board.

  3. Layer cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack evenly over the bread, then top with bacon and optional add-ins.

  4. Place remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing out.

  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.

  6. Rest for 1 minute, slice diagonally, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, spread mayonnaise instead of butter. Serve with tomato soup, salad, or fries. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 2 days; reheat in a skillet.
