Description

Delicious homemade barbecue meatballs smothered in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup 2% milk
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce
  • 1 jar (10 ounces) grape jelly

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, parsley, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
  • Add the ground beef and mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine chili sauce and grape jelly. Heat until smooth and blended.
  • Toss the cooked meatballs in the sauce before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add hot sauce to the barbecue sauce.
