  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons coarse kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and brown sugar in warm water. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in salt, all-purpose flour, and bread flour until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes.
  5. Shape dough into pretzels and dip each into a mixture of warm water and baking soda.
  6. Place on a greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle with coarse kosher salt and bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
